MaryEllen Axner
MaryEllen received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 1988. She received a M.S. in Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2002, and is currently pursuing a PhD. in Orthopedic and Sports Physical therapy from Rocky Mountain. MaryEllen is co-owner of a private practice in North Carolina and building the framework necessary to allow for clinical-based research. She has a special interest in Aquatic Physical Therapy and develops aquatic protocols for orthopedic and sport specific conditioning programs. She currently heads the education committee of the Aquatic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Interests outside physical therapy include physical activity with the family, good food, good movies, fashion (sewing, knitting), and reading.

Farrah Ashley
Farrah obtained a Masters in Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2001. She is a Sanford native and has been with Kinetic since 2001. Farrah special interest lies in lumbrosacral dysfunction and total joint replacement rehabilitation. Farrah utilizes myofascial release techniques to assist with pain relief. Farrah’s personal interests include spending time with her family and traveling, especially to the North Carolina coast.

Nicholas Myles
Nick graduated in 2005 with a Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Nick is originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania. He moved to North Carolina in 2005. Nick has specialized in out patient physical therapy services since 2005. He enjoys spending time with his family, running, biking, golf, and other sports.

Anthony Markham
Anthony graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2002. During the course of his career, he has worked in a variety of settings, with a varied patient population. He brings his experiences as a recreational marathon runner and exercise enthusiast into the clinic environment. He challenges his patients to reach their maximum potential. Anthony is a local native and he enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring the rapidly changing Triangle area.

Erika Ryerson
PT Assistant
Erika graduated in 2004 from SUNY Canton, New York as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She is originally from a small town in upstate New York. She has an interest in working with both the orthopedic and neurological populations, as we learn more and more the two cannot be separated. She enjoys running, biking, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Megan Knechtges
Megan graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011. Megan is originally from Milan, Ohio. She has a special interest in vestibular therapy including vertigo and working on improving balance and falls prevention. Her interests include exercising, running, being outdoors, traveling, cooking and spending time with friends and family.

Colleen Kramer
PT Assistant
Colleen graduated from Fayetteville Tech in 2012 as a Physical Therapist Assistant and has worked in the outpatient setting since that time. Originally from Massachusetts, she moved to Sanford in 2008 after enjoying the experience of travel offered through her husband's military career. Colleen's areas of special interest include orthopedic and pediatric care. Her interests include hiking, yoga and paddleboarding.
